Introducing the SONO-WZ® Portable Concrete Moisture Meter - the water and cement analyzer for fresh concrete. Say goodbye to kiln drying methods and hello to on-site, reliable measurements of water content and water/cement ratio in your concrete mixes.
Our TRIME® TDR technology uses radar-based conductivity to ensure more reliable control, while the SONO-WZ's flexible system allows for customized recipes. With quick and easy measurements of up to 3kg of fresh concrete, and the ability to display water content per m3, the SONO-WZ saves time and money while ensuring the quality and stability of your concrete buildings.
The SONO-WZ is also safe to handle on construction sites, with a robust and watertight structure, and dampening of radar impulses for changing particle sizes.
Upgrade your concrete production process today with the SONO-WZ portable concrete moisture meter. Experience fast, reliable, and accurate measurements of water content and water/cement ratio in your fresh concrete mixes.
The SONO-WZ® portable concrete moisture meter uses Time Domain Reflectometry (TDR) technology to measure water content in fresh concrete. TDR is a radar-based conductivity measurement method that works by emitting high-frequency, electromagnetic pulses into the material being tested. These pulses travel through the material and are reflected back to the instrument's sensor by the water content present in the material. The time it takes for the pulses to travel to and from the sensor is then measured and analyzed to determine the water content.
This method is highly reliable and accurate, as the pulse travel time is directly proportional to the water content in the material. Additionally, TDR technology can be used to measure other material properties, such as soil moisture and salinity.
The SONO-WZ® takes TDR technology one step further with its TRIME® (True and Reliable Industrial Moisture Evaluation) technology. TRIME® is a brand of TDR technology specifically designed for industrial moisture evaluation, providing even more reliable measurements of water content in fresh concrete.
With TRIME® technology, the SONO-WZ® provides a more advanced method for controlling the water content in fresh concrete, ensuring better quality and stability in concrete structures.
Traditional methods of determining water content and W/C-value in fresh concrete involve drying a sample in an oven or kiln, which can be inconsistent and inaccurate due to the varying characteristics of the sample. Differences in stone size can skew measurements, as larger stones absorb more moisture. Drying methods can also be time-consuming, taking up to 30 minutes per measurement.
The SONO-WZ® moisture meter provides a quicker and more accurate solution by using TDR technology to measure moisture content in fresh concrete without the need for drying.
Get accurate measurements of water content in fresh concrete quickly and easily with the SONO-WZ moisture meter.
The SONO-WZ probe is connected to the mobile hand-held meter, making it easy to use on-site. Simply put the probe directly into the fresh concrete to measure.
After 4-5 measurements, the device automatically averages the results for a precise reading within 1-2 minutes.
The SONO-WZ can measure fresh concrete with consistencies ranging from F2 to F6.
The SONO-WZ is delivered with a universal calibration, making it easier to use on a variety of different concrete types.
The SONO-WZ allows for special recipe settings, making it a versatile tool for any concrete plant.
